เมื่อนึกถึงภาคอีสานฉันใด ต้องนึกถึงความแห้งแล้งฉันนั้น..และนี่คือเรื่องราวการต่อสู้ของหมู่ชนที่ถูกขนานนามว่า "ลูกอีสาน" ณ หมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่งในภาคอีสานได้เกิดสภาวะแห้งแล้ง ด้วยความหวังที่จะมีชีวิตรอด จึงมีแนวคิดที่จะอพยพผู้คนหนีภัยแล้ง แต่ก็หาได้ราบรื่นดังที่หวังไว้ ไม่ว่าการต่อสู้เพื่อการอยู่รอดของกลุ่มคนย้ายถิ่น หรือหมู่คนที่ยอมตายโดยไม่ทิ้งบ้านเกิด สิ่งหนึ่งที่สะท้อนเรื่องราวของพวกเขาได้ดีคือ "การเป็นนักสู้ลูกอีสานที่ยิ่งใหญ่"
